Blogs for Small Businesses

Blogs help small businesses. Really. If you're a small business person wondering why you don't get more business from your web site, maybe it's because your web site is a cold, unchanging brochure-like document that just sits there getting old. Blogs don't. If you're dedicated to posting to your blog on a regular basis, you can help your small business by proving to current and potential customers that you care about them enough to give them information about your business and what it can do for them on a regular basis.

But customer service and public relations aren't all a small business blog can do for you. If you have a blog that links to your web site, and to specific pages about specific things your business does, you'll be helping your web site get higher search engine ranks. Blogs are very good ways to improve your search engine rankings. And, since your blog is a separate site for your business, it gives you a chance to try to win searches for a whole new set of keywords and phrases.
