Emma,
I apologize for taking so long to write these few words to express our
sincere gratitude for the wonderful experience you shared with us, our
family and a few friends on April 26, 2009.
It would be a gross understatement to refer to your service as merely
good cooking, which it certainly is, but when good cooking is coupled with
the highest professionalism and the keenest attention to detail of every
morsel of food that is prepared by you to be consumed, the term "Culinary
Artistry", seems more appropriate.
That term more closely places you and your total work ethic along with
great musicians and painters whose gifted offerings are to be absorbed into
ones consciousness and thus become a part of ones "feel good" life
experiences.
I am not easily impressed with food, or food preparers for that matter,
because for some reason living here in Los Angeles over the past fifty plus
years, I learned to accept mediocrity in food, and I forgot my own mothers
excellent cooking and the pride she took in preparing her food for her brood
every day while I, and my siblings were growing up in Tulsa Oklahoma.
My palate had been numbed to exquisite taste and tantalizing goodness
that can only be found in food that is prepared with a heavy dose of a
mothers love. You resurrected our dead taste buds Emma, and you took us back
home and set us once again at Momma's table.
Both Cheryl and I, and our guests were simply blown away by your lovely
personality that reeks with love, your patience that reflects your
contentment with God's blessings of Grace and abundance, and your
expectation that everything that you touch will reflect His influence in the
finished product.
Because of your efforts and your attention to the most minute details,
both in appearance and taste, while preparing your delicious and healthy
food, you have made us extremely popular among those guests who were
privileged to share in this wonderful experience.
We are honored to call you and Ron our friends. And we cannot express
enough our thanks and appreciation for your sharing your gift with us.
